12-year-old Jarrell Milton was arrested around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday July 7th while walking through a Minneapolis neighborhood. He allegedly fled to Minneapolis from Nebraska after murdering a man. It was announced Wednesday that Milton had waived extradition and will be transported to Douglas County by the Omaha Police Department.

Milton, along with two other minors, 15-year-old Shuntayvious Primes-Willis and his older brother 17-year-old Jamar Milton, have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

The teens murdered Jamymell Ray in Omaha Nebraska in the area of North 24th Street and Redick Avenue on June 29th. Ray and his brother, Charles Fisher, met with the juveniles to sell them marijuana. The teens attempted to rob them and wound up shooting them at close range. Ray died at the Nebraska Medical Center. Fisher was treated and released from CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center.

The three teens had guns at the time of the shooting and two of the guns were recovered. Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine has charged the older boys as adults and hopes to charge the 12-year-old as an adult as well. The attorney believes that the crime was gang related.
