On Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at approximately 1:27 PM, members of the Kinston Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Division responded to a shots fired call at 205 East Capitola Ave. in Kinston. Upon arrival officers found three victims, all with gunshot wounds. James Arthur Franklin, B/M – DOB-2/5/1993, was pronounced dead at the scene. Dexter Bradshaw, B/M – DOB-8/8/1992 was transported to Lenoir Memorial Hospital and then on to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Taishianna Hall, B/F – DOB-2/15/1993 was transported to Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Members of the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office and North Carolina State Highway Patrol assisted at the shooting scene. This incident is still in its preliminary stage of investigation. Investigators are following up all leads. If anyone has information reference this incident they are asked to call (252) 939-3220.
