It would appear that accusing Mary Todd, 76, of cheating – especially while she’s drinking – is a profoundly bad idea. Her husband learned that the hard way. She killed him for it.
South Carolina resident William Todd, 78, was found dead from a single gunshot to the abdomen when police arrived at the couple’s home in reference to a domestic dispute call.
The call came around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th, and Mrs. Todd was the only one home at the time of the shooting. She outright confessed.
She told the investigators that she’d had too much to drink when he confronted her about cheating on him.
Beech Island police arrested her on a charge of murder and she was was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center, her bail set $245,000.
She had no prior criminal history.
