A high school cheerleader in California has been arrested and charged in connection with the beating death of 50-year-old George Lowery, a homeless man in San Diego County.

18-year-old Hailey Suder pleaded not guilty this past Monday to two counts of being an accessory after the fact, both felonies.

She was dating one of the two brothers, 20-year-old Austin Mostrong and 19-year-old Preston Mostrong, that were charged with killing the man. Investigators have neither revealed what role she’s alleged to have played in Mr. Lowery’s death, nor which brother she was dating.

She was a cheerleader and senior at Santana High School, but didn’t graduate with her class earlier this month.

The two brothers have already admitted their involvement in the tragic beating.

Mr. Lowery’s wife had found him unconscious on April 24th. He’d suffered severe trauma after being kicked and punched in the head. He was then transported to a hospital where he died a few days later.

Investigators believe he was tortured during the brutal attack.

Katey Torres, Lowery’s daughter, set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for the family’s expenses.

She says her mother and father had been married for 25 years.

“His whole life revolved around his wife, Penny,” Torres said. “Working and doing any handy work he could to provide for him and his wife and family.
