A Colorado father stands accused of trying to kill his two-year-old son by intentionally wrecking his car.
29-year-old Nathan Weitzel told investigators that being a father was too big of a responsibility, and that he didn’t think he was “man enough to raise a child.” He estimates he was driving around 75 mph at the time.
He unbuckled young Isaiah and then sped up, crashing into several cars.
The violent incident ripped a muscle in his neck, and he’s now in a neck brace and had 30 stitches put in his head. He remains hospitalized and on oxygen.
“I was trying to kill my son,†he confessed to police.
He’s been charged with attempted first-degree murder and various other counts in connection with the August 21st incident.
A GoFundMe page has since been set up for the victim.
