A 23-year-old Connecticut man was arrested after police say he was masturbating in his car while watching Girl Scouts sell cookies outside of a Walmart.

was held on $80,000 bail after his arraignment Monday.

Alexander Gailunas has been ordered by Hartford Superior Court Judge Carl E. Taylor to stay out of every Walmart in the state, and to stay at least 100 yards away from any Girl Scout event or Girl Scout in uniform.

He was charged with risk of injury to a minor, indecent exposure, possession of marijuana, and driving while under license suspension.

According to the police report, officers responded to the Walmart around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday after a mother of one of the five girls, all 10-year-olds, saw him in his car masturbating. She gave cops a detailed description of what he was doing.

“When the suspect saw her looking at him, he shriveled down into his seat,” according to that same report.

The mother then went to the group of girls and accompanying adults and told one of those adults what she saw.

Another mother then called police. As she called, he sped off and drove west.

An officer pulled him over a short distance away.

He told cops that he’d dropped his mother off at Walmart, where she works, then sat for about 20 minutes in his car watching a movie on his phone.

“Alexander stated he noticed some of the people began staring at him while he was parked” and that “he noticed a … female began watching him and was talking on her phone,” according to the report.

“Alexander stated at that time he noticed everyone was staring at him and he then left the parking lot. Alexander stated he was not some sort of weirdo and was not looking at the kids.”

Mr. Gailunas had made that comment before even being asked if he was masturbating in his car.
