This dashcam video reveals 23-year-old Matthew Blakely begging for mercy as he sits in a police cruiser in handcuffs after the fatal shooting of his wife in June. He was arrested at his home on 1901 Coulter Drive in North Augusta.

Blake claims that he pointed his newly-purchased M4 assault rifle away from her and checked to make sure the gun wasn’t loaded before it accidentally went off and killed her in the bathroom of their home. He can be heard in the video screaming “please” and “no” repeatedly.

He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
