A Rikers Island corrections officer was charged Sunday with raping an inmate and conspiring to traffic marijuana into the jail for him.

30-year-old probationary officer Nicole Bartley said the inmate conned her into a romantic relationship and talked her into bring him marijuana.

Her crimes were discovered when a drug-sniffing Department of Investigations dog alerted on her.

She told investigators that the inmate, who can’t legally consent because he’s an inmate, “played me for a fool.”

“I had my guard down to this man I thought (I) was falling in love with,” she continued.

She admitted that she indeed slept with the inmate and had later agreed to pick up some weed for him.

“I was in love with him. He used me and played me for a fool. I had sex with him on one occasion in the jail a few days before January 30th,” she said.

“I used a condom. It was in the closet in the morning when everyone else was locked in. It only lasted five minutes.”

She was arrested after investigators found her in her home in the Bronx with around 70 grams of marijuana, which she said was intended for her prison lover.

She was released on $1,000 bail and faces up to four years in prison for the third-degree rape charge.
