A Florida woman has been taken into custody after breaking her mother’s leg during a heated argument Tuesday.
41-year-old Shanna Burnett got into a physical fight with two people at a home when someone made a comment about “employment opportunitiesâ€.
She punched one 66-year-old victim in the face, then threw her 64-year-old mother, who was trying to break up the fight, to the ground by her neck, breaking her right leg.
That broken leg, according to doctors will require surgery to repair.
Ms. Burnett left before authorities arrived that Tuesday night, but was found and arrested at the home Thursday afternoon.
She’s been charged with felony domestic battery and battery on a person 65 years of age or older.
She remains held in the Okaloosa County Jail.
