During a court hearing in Miami-Dade, Judge Mindy Glazer was the first to recognize her old classmate, 49-year-old Arthur Booth, who stood before her in a bond court she was presiding over. Booth was stunned to realize that his judge was his middle school classmate whom he had played football with.
Based on his arrest report, Booth was spotted driving a gold Honda Accord that was a vehicle suspected of being involved in a home burglary. When an officer tried to stop the vehicle, he took off and a pursuit began. During the chase, Booth ran stop signs and was involved in two accidents before crashing the car in the area of Northwest 36th Street and North River Drive. He fled on foot but was caught a short time later.
Booth was arrested on Monday by Hialeah Police on several charges including burglary, grand theft, fleeing, and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $43,000.
