In a scene he hoped to be reminiscent of the brutal on-air deaths of reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward by Vester Lee Flanagan back in August, 25-year-old Brian Blankenship of Columbus, Georgia threatened the same fate for online porn star Malena Morgan.

The suspect, who used the name Joe Cook online, said on Periscope that he would live-stream ‘opening fire on Malena Morgan’. He also emailed the 24-year-old prospective victim multiple times, with ramblings such as:

“When you walk out of your house and see me it will be to [sic] late.”

“You’re [sic] next periscope will be your bloody head on a stick bank on it bitch!”

“I hope you have protection … I have a 9mm and a shotgun your [sic] dead bitch and you won’t see me coming.”

and

“Periscope you’re [sic] undoing it’s raw and I will take my own life after you’ve [sic] life is gone!”

Malena Morgan contacted authorities in California and the FBI traced ‘Joe Cook’ back to Columbus, Georgia and Blankenship.

The suspect’s mother then told officials that he had threatened to kill his family and that he claimed he was aware of where his father kept his gun. A search of the home turned up a loaded .380-caliber handgun. Blankenship was then arrested.

Blankenship has been charged with transmitting in interstate commerce a communication threatening to injure an identified individual, and is due in court in Georgia on October 13th.
