A Georgia mother has turned herself in on charges of aggravated child molestation, statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purpose. She was hand-in-hand with her husband at the time.
48-year-old Kathy Tompa surrendered to authorities at the Forsyth County Jail immediately after warrants were served on her Thursday.
Her attorney, AJ Richman, said the mother-of-two and her family were devastated by the accusations.
“She’s disappointed, but she’s keeping her head high,” he told a local news station. “And she knows that justice will prevail.”
She plans to take the case to trial.
No details about the allegations have been released thus far because the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t comment on cases that involve sex crimes or juveniles.
She plans on pleading not guilty and has no criminal record.
The investigation is ongoing.
