Georgia Pastor Who Said Pulse Nightclub Victims Got What They Deserved is Busted for Molesting a Boy in His Church

A Georgia pastor who’d drawn ire from the Internet after tweeting that “the Pulse nightclub shooting victims got what they deserved” was arrested on child molestation charges.

56-year-old Ken Adkins, who has who has congregations in Atlanta, Jacksonville and Brunswick, Georgia, is an outspoken anti-LGBT activist in the Jacksonville area.

His tweet read, “I don’t see none of them as victims. I see them as getting what they deserve!!”

of St. Simons Island, turned himself in to police about 9 a.m. Friday on aggravated child molestation charges.

The alleged abuse of the boy took place in his church in Brunswick, as well as in his car and the boy’s home. It’s said to have occurred in 2010.

The pastor’s wife, Charlotte Stormy Adkins, says she believes her husband will be cleared, and said the alleged victim was part of the church’s ministry and had been mentored by her and her husband.

She will be serving as interim pastor while her husband “takes leave”.
