An Indiana woman has been arrested after inconsistencies in her story about how her baby died after she’d given birth to it in a dorm room bathtub.

A student at Manchester University at the time, 21-year-old Mikayla Munn, called 911 on March 8th. When officers arrived, they found her and her newborn son in the tub. The baby wasn’t breathing.

Authorities apparently found enough probable cause to get a warrant for her arrest after starting an investigation into the newborn’s death. The state police said it was “due to inconsistent information”.

They arrested her and charged her with murder and neglect of a child causing death.

She’s now in the Elkhart County jail.
