A Minnesota teacher and coach has been accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old female student.
charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a student.
Kristy Lynn Hoge is alleged to have inappropriately touched and had “sexual relations” with a female high school student after cops were called by the alleged victim’s mother who’d heard from a different coach who’d contacted her with concerns about the student and Ms. Hoge.
The unnamed girl and her parents met with authorities on May 3rd, and the teen said she approached the teacher/coach for assistance with her basketball abilities, when the two started developing feelings for each other. Purportedly, there was touching and fondling on several occasions, including “five or six times” at a cemetery.
When investigators called Hoge around 11:00 a.m. on May 3rd, she agreed to come in and speak with them. Just over half an hour later, a medical call came in for a suicide attempt. When officers responded, they found Hoge had attempted to roll her vehicle over. When that proved unsuccessful, she slit her own throat with a filet knife.
She was transported to the Riverwood Healthcare Center and placed on a 72-hour mental health hold.
She’s been placed on administrative leave.
