20-year-old Robert Bowie from the Bronx was on the lam for a short time after allegedly committing sexual assault, or attempts thereof, on three different women in the span of just three hours.
At roughly 5:30 a.m., he followed a 33-year-old woman into her apartment building before grabbing her and trying to rape her. Luckily, she was able to fight him off, and he fled.
Then at roughly 7:30 a.m., he followed another woman, a 24-year-old, into her apartment building and grabbed her shoulders. When she screamed, he fled.
But at around 8:30 a.m., one woman wasn’t as lucky. The suspect came upon a 40-year-old woman in the stairwell of her apartment building. He tried to engage her in a conversation before forcing himself on her and raping her.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated and released.
Robert Bowie was caught just a short time later and was charged with burglary, sexual assault, robbery, rape, criminal sexual acts, and coercion.
