Rashaan Cuffee and Justice Chance, both 20 and the parents of a 2-year-old boy, were arrested after they left him home alone and he became stuck in a toilet.
Police had been called to the apartment in Canton after neighbors reported hearing a child crying for about 30 minutes.
A maintenance worker let police inside. They found the crying boy and rescued him from the toilet.
Ms. Chance arrived a couple of hours later carrying bags from Walmart. She said that she’d left the boy in her sister’s care.
There was just one little issue…she, for the life of her, couldn’t remember her sister’s last name.
Authorities found three marijuana plants in a closet inside the apartment.
Both parents were arrested and charged with child endangerment and marijuana cultivation.
The young boy is now in the care of child protective services.
