When an Ohio woman was released from the hospital Thursday night, she found she’d missed the last bus home. So, as anyone would do, she stole an ambulance to get her there.

43-year-old Lisa Carr was apprehended after a short low-speed chase

The ambulance’s driver had left the rig running when the woman took it for a spin. He flagged down an officer after realizing it was gone.

Cops used the emergency vehicle’s own GPS device to track it down. Ms. Carr never got over 30 miles per hour in the 20-minute trip she took for the ten miles to her home.

She was arrested and told the cops that she “took the vehicle because she missed the last bus.”

She was charged with theft, driving with a suspended license, and failure to comply with police.

She now resides in the Hamilton County jail.
