Warrants obtained on road rage suspects Carteret County deputies have issued warrants on a Lenoir County husband and wife involved in a road rage incident that occurred on 3/24/2013 in Newport.
Warrants were issued for Bradley Turner, 40, and Christy Turner, 30, of 3432 Institute Rd in La Grange late Monday afternoon. Bradley Turner has been charged with Discharging a Weapon into property, two counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun, Going Armed to the Terror of the People, Injury to Personal Property, and Assault. Christy Turner has been charged with two counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has made contact with the subjects who are expected to turn themselves in to their office immediately.

On 03/24/2013 at approximately 1:00pm deputies responded to the area of Hwy 70 and English Street in Newport in reference to an incident of road rage that resulted in shots being fired.
Deputies are seeking information on a family of three including the driver, female passenger, and toddler that are accused of leaving the scene after the driver of that vehicle allegedly fired several rounds at the other vehicle.
The family wanted for questioning was said to have left the area in an ash or grey colored SUV. The driver of the SUV is being accused of road rage which started on Hwy 70 in the James City area in Craven County and ended in Newport in Carteret County.
Deputies are planning on releasing additional information in a news release tomorrow and are urging the family wanted for questioning to make contact with the Sheriffs Office prior to that information being released.
