A South Dakota man has been arrested after he’s alleged to have sat on a woman and cut her nipples off with a pair of scissors during an argument.

45-year-old Tony Ledbetter was arguing with his ex-girlfriend about something to do with their relationship when he punched her and slammed her head into the ground.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens said Wednesday.

The 39-year-old woman told authorities that he’d tried to stop her from screaming by putting his forearm against her throat and stuffing a blanket in her mouth.

He then grabbed a pair of scissors, sat on her, and cut off her nipples. She broke free soon after and tried to find help.

The victim has been hospitalized, but her condition has yet to be released.

Ledbetter, himself, called 911 after the incident.

He has priors, including simple assault in 2013, as well dropped charges of as stalking and domestic assault.

He was charged Thursday with domestic aggravated assault.

A judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, and set a cash only bond of $250,000.
