A Texas man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after being found guilty on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The victim of the sexual assault was his own four-year-old daughter.

36-year-old Jason Isaac Herman Hines will have no possibility for parole, due to the age of the victim.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma resident visited his children and their mother in Round Rock, Texas on November 22, 2013 and recorded video of himself “aggressively simulating sex against the victim” while her mother was at work. The young victim complained of pain later that day, prompting her mother to take her to the hospital two days later, after Hines had returned to Oklahoma.

Hospital staff alerted the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and he was arrested in Tulsa a week later.

Assistant District Attorneys Jo Poenitzsch and Blake Ewing showed the video evidence in court.

The victim’s mother had found the camera in the Hines’ apartment shortly after the assault, and investigators at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office recovered the video that he’d tried to delete.

He was found guilty of both counts, and sentenced him to 50 years on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.

He’ll be in behind bars until he’s 83 years old.
