A woman has been charged with trying to smuggle more than eight grams of heroin via her vagina in San Antonio, Texas.

28-year-old Janice Salas was arrested when officers searched her car because they smelled marijuana.

When she and the driver were ordered out of the car, they noticed she was “walking stiff”.

A female officer decided it’d be a good idea to do a search, and when she did, she pulled bags of heroin and methamphetamine from the woman’s groin area.

At the time of the incident, September, authorities could only obtain a municipal court warrant until the substance was tested.

This week, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office concluded the substance was heroin, weighing in at just over 8 grams.

Salas was arrested on Tuesday at 12:20pm and charged with a second-degree felony.

She was arraigned later that afternoon and released on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
