37-year-old Christina M. Mabry of Richmond, Virginia was arrested Friday, June 26th and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Woodrow Anstead after she posted numerous statements on Facebook about the murder.

On Sunday, May 31st, police responded to a call from a neighbor in an apartment on Grove Avenue about a domestic disturbance in apartment 5. When they arrived at the apartment, Mabry answered the door. Initially, she told the officers that things were fine and that her male partner was not there. Then they observed Woodrow Anstead bleeding profusely from a severe stab wound to the chest. He got up and walked to the hallway, but he collapsed. Anstead was taken to a hospital where he later died.

After the murder, Mabry wrote on Facebook on June 11th, “Only a few people know what happened with me (and) Woodrow… We didn’t have a rocky relationship or an abusive one.” Then two days later she wrote, “I know what happened (and) so do detectives. Leave me to mourn the man I love.”

Christina Mabry was denied bond during a morning court hearing on Monday, June 29th in Richmond and is schedule to appear in court on July 27th.
