BustedLocals.com is Looking for New Writers
If you’re a new writer who’s looking to beef up your writing portfolio, we have an immediate opportunity for those looking to start from the ground up. We’re looking for writers who can write and cover stories on local arrests, police busts, sting operations, crime features and everything in- between. We’re a start-up company who has invested significantly in this website, and the position is unpaid, but there’s excellent potential for a staff and possibly editorial position as our growth continues.
You should be good with words and the English language, familiar with basic journalist style and have a clean, uncomplicated tone that readers will be able to read and enjoy. Knowledge of police activity in your area, as well as the ability to quickly produce compact articles and write-ups is a huge plus. We’re looking for self-starters who can work independently and surprise us with the quality of your writing. This is an ideal opportunity for Journalism students and interns.
For immediate consideration, please send a short writing sample of 100-200 words to [email protected]edlocals.com, along with your contact information.
