The Reward has been increased to a total of $1,000 dollars. A private donor has added $500 to the original $500 from the Lenoir County SPCA.

On Saturday, October 26, 2013 at approximately 7:00 AM members of the Kinston Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Division responded to a Cruelty to Animals call at 1205 North Queen Street in Kinston. Upon arrival, Shelby Clark, of the residence, told officers someone had decapitated one of her rabbits and skinned another alive. Of the six rabbits she owned, two were stolen, one was decapitated and another skinned on both sides and left in the cage alive. Two others were unharmed. The rabbit that was skinned has since died.

The Lenoir County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is offering a reward of $500.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
