A Macomb Township woman is charged with drunken driving and could face up to 15 years in prison for a head-on car crash in Clinton Township that killed an 81-year-old man.
According to Clinton Township police, Morgan Coley, 18, was northbound on Utica Road about 10:20 p.m. Thursday when her car crossed the center line, striking an oncoming vehicle. The crash happened near Edsel Street, south of Moravian.
The driver of the other car, Hans Gerhard Schwallbach, 81, of Grosse Pointe, was transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where he died the next day.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Coley has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, a 15-year felony if convicted.
