An Alabama man posed as a woman on Facebook to lure teen boys for sex.

35-year-old Venderius Holyfiel, according to Tarrant police, was the subject in relation to a call of a suspicious vehicle in a store parking lot on August 17th.

with the crimes of attempted sodomy, enticing a child for immoral purposes and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail this week, and released the same day after posting $35,000 bond.

Mr. Holyfield was in the car with a 15-year-old boy and another teen, the boy’s brother, who jumped out of the back seat and ran when cops pulled up.

The suspect used the Facebook name Jalisa Smith with a profile picture of a woman. He used it to lure the boy by promising him he’d perform oral sex on him.

He, still posing as the woman, told the victim that (s)he’d be wrapped in a blanket because (s)he’d supposedly been videotaped previously and didn’t want it to happen again; obviously lying to try and disguise the fact that he was a man.

When officers removed Mr. Holyfield’s blanket, his would-be victim, as well as the cops, learned that it was a man.

Authorities believe there are more teen victims who’ve already been victimized by Holyfield, but that have yet to come forward.

Holyfield has a court date set for September 9th.
