A Florida man has been arrested for attempted murder and various other charges after he allegedly stabbed his nephew at least three times.

Early in the afternoon on Tuesday, Bryan Hartsburg is said to have started yelling at 18-year-old Taylor Hartsburg for taking his beer out of the refrigerator.

Knowing his uncle’s violent tendencies, he simply left the room. But the elder Hartsburg forced his way into that room and was wielding a black kitchen knife.

He then stabbed his nephew at least three times, in the head, the side of his stomach, and his back.

An unnamed witness then tried to call 911, but the enraged man ripped the cord out of the wall. He also took that witness’s cell phone while saying he was joking and the teen would be okay.

The bleeding victim ran to a neighbor’s home to call for help.

He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Bryan Hartsburg was taken into custody around midnight the next day. He’d actually flagged down a sheriff’s deputy and told him he was tired of running.

He was charged with first-degree attempted murder, tampering with a witness, and selling or giving alcohol to a person under 21 years old.
