Disturbing footage shows the moment a partygoer was hit in the chest by a stray bullet at a Kendall house in a shooting that claimed his life over the weekend.
The cell phone footage, obtained by Spanish language station Americateve, shows Yemil Arguelles enjoying himself at the Saturday night party in the backyard of a home in the 7000 block of Southwest 159th Place as other partygoers dance and sing karaoke.
As the camera pans over, Arguelles is sitting with another man when a pop is heard and he suddenly grabs his chest then falls out of his chair. The confused party guests at first watch as Arguelles struggles on the ground, then they move in to help him.
Miami-Dade Police said fire rescue workers responded to the home and determined the 40-year-old had been shot. Arguelles, who was a well-known priest in the Santeria religion, was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center where he later died.
