A 25-year-old Muncie, Indiana man was arrested on multiple charges after assaulting his girlfriend when she asked for waffles instead of the pancakes he’d made.
Breion Donte Thomas, according to the victim, pushed her, hit her multiple times in the back with his fist, threw her on a bed, held her down, and prevented her from leaving.
He then allegedly choked her until she couldn’t breathe.
She said that she tried to call 911, but he’d taken and turned her phone off.
He fled the residence when officers arrived but was eventually apprehended.
He was charged with strangulation, criminal confinement, battery with injury and interference with reporting a crime.
He was released from the Delaware County jail after posting $15,000 bail.
