Houston, TX – The mother of a 2-year-old boy is speaking out after he was attacked and robbed of his iPad.

“They didn't have to touch him. He's 2. Who steals from a 2-year-old? Get a job,” said the child's mother, who didn't want to be identified.

The Houston Police Department is searching for a man who was seen on security camera stealing from the boy.

Surveillance video caught a man walking up to a couple of small children who were near their mother's car April 19 in a parking lot at 8615 Tidwell Road.

Video footage shows the man knocking the boy down as he forcibly takes the device from his hands. The 2-year-old suffered minor injuries as he hit the ground.

The suspect then fled the scene.

“I've chased a lot of crooks, but this is probably the biggest thug I've ever seen. To see some man knock a 2-year-old child to the ground to take an iPad,” HPD investigator Ken Nealy said.

Police confirmed that thief is a man about 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with short hair. He

was wearing blue shorts and a striped shirt.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Houston Police Department.
