Meth arrests

On 07-20-2013 Carteret County Deputies responded to a disturbance at Lot 35 Bay Meadows MHP (2050 Country Club Road) in Morehead City. After arriving responding deputies spoke with William David Ballou, 57 of Lot 35 who said he wanted his guest removed from his residence.

Deputies discovered an unconscious white male that was identified as Michael Joseph Hedaria, 34, of 104 Jacks Lane in Clinton, N.C. After entering the bedroom where Hedaria was located deputies discovered 18 separate plastic bags that contained “crystal meth”, 87 Schedule IV pills and 80 Sudafed pills (precursor for methamphetamine production), digital scales and a sale ledger.

The scene was processed and Hedaria was transported to the Carteret County Jail. Ballou was also arrested for previous controlled drug purchases conducted on him by undercover narcotics detectives with the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. Deputies transported Ballou to the Carteret County Jail and discovered another 5 schedule II pills (Alprazolam) in his clothing. Hedaria has pending possession of methamphetamine charges in Sampson and Wayne County


William David Ballou was charged with:

2 Counts Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule III
2 Counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule III
2 Counts of Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell and Store a Controlled Substance 1 Count of Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance

$10,000 Secured Bond.

Michael Joseph Hedaria was charged with:

1 Count of Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine 1 Count of Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors
2 Counts of PWISD Schedule IV (Alprazolam)
1 Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
