A New York City man has been arrested after he doused a kitten in oil, then put it in a box and tied it shut, abandoning it in New Jersey.

35-year-old Kazem Shirinzad, a tow truck driver, has been charged with animal cruelty for the unspeakable act.

The kitten, nicknamed Olive Oil, was found on May 16th near a high-rise in Fort Lee.

The cat was treated at an animal hospital and is reported to be doing well, but is still greasy. It will be available for adoption at a later date.

No photo of the perpetrator has been made available.
