“This serial rapist, who committed four rapes within one week, including one of a 15-year-old girl, is a sadistic and violent sexual predator who is simply not fit to walk the streets ever again. That’s why he must spend the rest of his life behind bars.” Those are the word of Brooklyn’s District Attorney Ken Thompson in regards to 26-year-old Dexter Bell.

He committed these rapes in the stairwells and alleyways of Crown Heights between April 4th and April 11th, 2013. He had raped a 17-year-old in 2008, as well as a corrections officer just this year while being transferred from Rikers Island.

Bell was finally nabbed after authorities got an anonymous tip with the attacker’s name and address. When he was arrested, he was carrying a handwritten note giving the dates and times of two of the rapes.

On November 9th, a jury found him guilty on all six counts of predatory sexual assault. His sentence was handed down Monday by Judge Vincent Del Giudice in Brooklyn Supreme Court, and was a staggering 100 years.
