Texas authorities say that a woman pulled a gun on a man at a Mexican restaurant while the pair argued over who would be up next for karaoke.
The karaoke fan, identified as 41-year-old Doris Vallejo-Godoy, is said to have been with her girlfriend at the La Catedral del Marisco in Southeast Austin at approximately 1am on Sunday.
According to an arrest affidavit, the confrontation occurred over the karaoke machine at the eatery.
Vallejo-Godoy told police that she tried to calm the man down by brandishing the pistol. She claimed that he had been calling her various names, the Statesmen reports.
The man told police that the woman struck him in the face soon after the argument began. He added that Vallejo-Godoy then pulled her gun out and pointed it directly at him.
