An Uber driver was arrested in Athens, Georgia after raping a woman who’d arranged for an Uber ride.

He’d gone back to her house later and attacked her.

41-year-old John Kamens returned to the location around midnight and entered her home without permission.

The unnamed 33-year-old victim called 911 hours later saying she’d just gotten raped by the Uber driver.

Mr. Kamens also works full time for Athens-Clarke County.

Once Uber heard about the allegations, they immediately ceased using him, even banning him as a customer, and said it was “an appalling crime and our thoughts are with the victim as she recovers from this horrific ordeal.”
