Late Monday evening, Waco police pulled over a 1998 Toyota Land Rover with a man and a woman inside. During said stop, they discovered just over two and a half grams of meth under the driver’s seat and arrested 30-year-old Gabriel Garcia for possession of methamphetamine in a drug-free zone (because the stop was within a thousand feet of an elementary school).

Then they got to the female passenger – 31-year-old Ashley Cecilia Castaneda. 29.5 grams of meth were found in her purse along with a set of digital scales. She was arrested on the same charge.

But it’s what she revealed to the officers as she was being transported to McLennan County Jail that has received the most attention – she had a loaded Smith and Wesson .22-caliber semi-auto handgun stashed in her vagina.

The officers then pulled the car over and got a female officer on the scene to retrieve the gun. It had one round in the chamber and a full magazine.

Needless to say, she was then given an additional charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Ashley and Gabriel remain in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $31,000 and $10,000 bonds, respectively.
